Review of Minus 30 Gelato Ice Cream, possibly the best artisanal ice cream available?

I have been spending a lot more time on Instagram lately, am at that point now where ads seem more interesting than the posts. One of the ads that captured my attention was an ice cream startup called Minus 30. They had a ton of flavours and were a bit pricey. I bit the bullet and got some ice creams delivered. I have ordered from them thrice since. They have the most decadent and wonderfully delicious ice creams that I have ever tasted. They claim that they make Gelato Ice creams. I don’t know the difference between a Gelato or an Ice Cream but then again I don’t need to know the difference as long as I am enjoying it 😊

Flavour formats

Among the classic flavours – we ordered double roasted hazelnut, Belgian chocolate and pistachio. These were good but not greatly different. I realized I could get this fix from any other ice cream brand as well. So haven’t ordered any more of these.
Among the indulge and intox flavours – we have ordered peanut butter, dark chocolate+peanut butter, dark chocolate Cointreau, Bailey’s. These were extremely decadent and delicious.

Peanut Butter
I am the world’s biggest fan of anything to do with peanuts. This flavour was truly decadent and indulgent. They got the peanut butter and ice cream just right. You get all the flavour of the peanut butter but still is smooth like a gelato ice cream.

Dark Chocolate Cointreau and Bailey’s
I am not sure of the alcohol % in these ice creams but you CAN tell by tasting just a spoon that you are in for a treat. I wonder someone who finishes a fair amount of the tub can get a bit Giddy.

Pack Presentation

The ice creams come in cute pink plastic tubs. I wish they didn’t use plastic but I am not sure if there is any other feasible solution. The key category like indulge etc is put on the side of the pack. The flavours are mentioned on top of the lid. I guess it is easier for their operations team to have the flavour on the top while picking the tubs out of the deep freezer.
I would thoroughly recommend this brand and the Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate Cointreau and Bailey’s flavours. The classic flavours need more work. At the time of writing this article, they are present only in Delhi NCR and Mumbai
